It could be argued that the worst career move I ever made was to accept a promotion.

In my gut, I didn’t want it, but it came with a raise and I’m a sucker for money.

The new role didn’t play to my strengths as much as the role I was leaving.

I didn’t have the same success, and my work became less and less fulfilling and more and more stressful.

There are a bazillion different things you can do to earn a living in sales.

You can sell solar door-to-door, sell timeshares, be an SDR, sell enterprise saas, the list goes on.

Your worth isn’t determined by which role you’re in.

Do what you enjoy, and figure out a way to make it work financially.
